Job Description

The Locum Bureau is looking for Advanced Clinical Practitioners to support an established primary care team in Blackpool.

The service is well structured with clear pathways, supportive supervision, and sensible appointment planning so you can work confidently and safely.

Flexible sessions with the option to secure ongoing weekly work.

Working Pattern
• Up to 2 days a week available, with flexibility on which days you choose.
• Options for short-term cover or a regular rota depending on your availability.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and management of patients in primary care.
• Undertake clinical triage and prioritise patients appropriately.
• Request and interpret investigations and initiate evidence-based treatment.
• Refer onward to secondary care or community services using agreed pathways.
• Promote health education, self-management and preventative care.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to clinical governance standards.

Requirements
• Recognised Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification or equivalent experience.
• Relevant professional registration and recent UK primary care experience.
• Confident autonomous practice with clear understanding of escalation.
• Prescribing qualification where applicable to the role.
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation and communication skills.
• Full right to work and compliance documentation or willingness to complete promptly.
