Job Description

The Locum Bureau is looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioners in Coniston.

This opportunity offers flexible sessional work across GP practices and primary care services, with structured clinics, clear pathways and the option to focus on what you do best.

Up to 3 days a week available with flexibility on session length and start times.

Role Snapshot
• Primary care ANP clinics with clear scope, supportive admin and straightforward workflows.

Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week (sessions can be regular or ad hoc).
• Flexible start and finish times depending on clinic need.
• Mix of same day, on the day and pre booked appointments depending on site.
• Option for repeat bookings where the fit is right.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver autonomous ANP consultations including assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Prescribe safely within scope and local policy.
• Manage acute presentations and minor illness within primary care pathways.
• Request and interpret investigations and act on results appropriately.
• Document clearly and code activity accurately on the clinical system.
• Escalate and refer to GPs and community services when clinically indicated.

Requirements
• Registered Nurse with ANP qualification and MSc level training or equivalent experience.
• Independent Prescriber with current NMC registration.
• Recent UK primary care experience in an ANP capacity.
• Confident working autonomously with appropriate clinical judgement and escalation.
• Up to date safeguarding and basic life support training.
