Job Description
The Locum Bureau is looking for General Practitioners in St. Athan.
These sessions are built to be workable, with organised appointment lists, clear admin processes and on site teams that keep your clinic moving.
Up to 4 days a week available with flexibility across AM, PM or full day sessions.
Role Snapshot
• GP sessions across well run practices with a focus on sensible workload and clear support.
Working Pattern
• Up to 4 days per week with a choice of regular or ad hoc shifts.
• AM, PM or full day sessions available depending on practice need.
• Mix of face to face and telephone appointments where applicable.
• Option for repeat weekly bookings and longer blocks.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide safe, patient centred GP consultations across routine and urgent presentations.
• Manage clinical risk with appropriate safety netting and follow up.
• Prescribe in line with NICE guidance and local formularies.
• Request and interpret investigations and act on results appropriately.
• Maintain accurate records, coding and documentation on the clinical system.
• Refer to secondary care and community services in line with pathways.
Requirements
• GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• On the GP Performers List with suitable UK primary care experience.
• Confident managing a broad range of presentations in a primary care setting.
• Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach to workload.
• Up to date safeguarding training and mandatory requirements.
