Job Description
The Locum Bureau is looking for Nurse Practitioners to join a friendly primary care team in Egham.
This is a smooth-running setting with supportive clinicians, clear protocols, and a manageable caseload focused on safe, consistent patient care.
Flexible sessions available with the potential for regular ongoing work.
Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days a week available, with flexibility around preferred days.
• Daytime clinics with options for repeat weekly bookings.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess and manage patients presenting with minor illness and urgent issues.
• Undertake clinical examinations and formulate management plans.
• Prescribe or supply medicines in line with competence and local policy.
• Request and interpret investigations and arrange follow-up as needed.
• Provide health advice, self-care guidance and safety-netting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coding within the clinical system.
Requirements
• NMC registration and Nurse Practitioner experience in UK primary care.
• Confidence managing minor illness and same-day presentations.
• Prescribing qualification beneficial where appropriate to the position.
• Strong consultation skills and a patient-centred approach.
• Ability to work autonomously with appropriate escalation when needed.
• Up-to-date compliance including DBS and mandatory training or willingness to complete.
