Job Description
The Locum Bureau is looking for Nurse Practitioners in Livilands.
You will step into organised clinics with clear triage processes, helpful reception teams and easy access to escalation when needed.
Up to 3 days a week available with flexibility around which days you work.
Role Snapshot
• Primary care NP sessions focused on minor illness, same day demand and safe decision making.
Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week with regular weekly options.
• Morning, afternoon or full day sessions depending on availability.
• Appointment mix agreed in advance where possible.
• Repeat bookings available for clinicians who want continuity.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess and manage minor illness presentations within agreed scope of practice.
• Provide clinical advice, safety netting and appropriate follow up plans.
• Prescribe or supply medicines in line with competence and local policy.
• Request and interpret investigations and act on results appropriately.
• Maintain clear clinical records and accurate coding.
• Work with GPs and the wider team to ensure safe patient pathways.
Requirements
• NMC registration with experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in UK primary care.
• Prescribing qualification preferred and supported depending on role requirements.
• Confidence with acute assessment, red flag recognition and escalation.
• Up to date mandatory training including safeguarding and basic life support.
• Good communication skills and patient focused approach.
