Job Description
The Locum Bureau is looking for Practice Nurses in Creebridge.
We have primary care nursing sessions with organised treatment rooms, supportive teams and clear appointment templates to keep your day running smoothly.
Up to 2 days a week available with flexibility on which days you cover.
Role Snapshot
• Practice Nurse clinics including immunisations, chronic disease support and treatment room work.
Working Pattern
• Up to 2 days per week with regular weekly sessions available.
• Flexible start and finish times depending on the clinic list.
• Mix of treatment room tasks and long term condition reviews where competent.
• Option for repeat bookings and ongoing part time patterns.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver treatment room clinics including wound care, dressings and ear care where trained.
• Administer immunisations and vaccinations in line with PGDs and policy.
• Support long term condition management including asthma and COPD reviews where competent.
• Perform cervical cytology where qualified and in date.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coding on the clinical system.
• Follow infection control, cold chain and clinical governance procedures.
Requirements
• NMC registration with recent UK practice nursing experience.
• Competence in treatment room skills and immunisations.
• Cytology qualification if undertaking smear clinics.
• Up to date mandatory training including safeguarding and basic life support.
• Confident, organised approach with good patient communication.
